This entry is for the person I love the most, MY DAD.

My dad is my worst enemy.

That’s true

He’s a nagging machine

Uncontrollable blah blah blah blasting

Then he will still remember tomorrow what you did yesterday

Even if you’re not doing anything wrong

He will still find reasons to nag about

My Dad is my worst critique

He will yell to me these lines more often than not.

 “Tama na kain! Lumalaki sayo SUSU mu!”

“ang gastos mu! Maghanap ka ng mayaman na asawa!”

“anu kala mu skin! Tumatae ng ginto!”

“ipapahold ko na ATM mu! Wala ka ng ginawa kungdi gumastos!”

“bakit hindi mo gawin araw araw gumimik kasama mga spice girls? Doon ka na din kaya tumira?!”

If you know my dad, YOU KNOW that he delivers these lines with much gusto of sarcasm that it will never fail to annoy me

My Dad is my worst friend.

I remember running into his room and crying

Told him some problems in life

Yes, love life.

Then and there I thought I will give him a heart attack

Because he turned so red

Maybe he did not know what to do

To see his daughter crying uncontrollably

Then he shouted

“Gago yan! Susugudin ko yan sa bahay nila! Babarilin ko yan!!!!! Talaga!!! Tanga ka din kase!!!Babarilin ko yan!!!!Wag kana nga umiyak dyan!”

it may sound scary, but I think it’s the sweetest thing I’ve heard on that day.

It made my pathetic crying stop.

My dad seems so scary. Maybe because of the work he’s into.

And the aura he portrays.

But deep inside this big, scary guy that you will hardly see smiling

Is a person that never ceases to love and care

and has an incredile sense of humor

I grew up seeing my father

Helping other people

Working hard to provide the best for his loved-ones

He knows how to share his blessings in life to others

No matter how hectic and chaotic his schedule is. He makes sure to text us to go home early, eat lunch/dinner or a simple call me or text me.

I love my dad more than anyone else in this world

But I guess, the person we love most is the person we tend to hurt more.

Such an irony.

Today, I texted him, nothing else but these words.

“Thank you for being my father….”

And I know ,he knows what I really mean.

Thank you lord , for giving me and my siblings a wonderful father.
