I'm not really a good movie critic...But this review is from what I observed/loved in this movie:

Two thumbs up for Gina Pareno… flawless acting. she’s like our typical moms? Sometimes crazy… sometimes highly sensitive… sometimes OK

And I have to admit this, there is really a chemistry between the JudyAnn-Ryan Agoncillo loveteam. They have the “Kilig” influence to viewers. You know. They just simply “swack” together.

JudyAnn gets thinner and thinner. She’s no longer the siopao-faced girl we grew up watching from maria-clara.

Watching this movie will give you a glimpse of Spain. (When I say glimpse, really a glimpse, not much of the MILAN movie by Claudine that gives you a comprehensive look of foreign places. ) Not just the scenic places to see but uhm.. a little bit of certain stereo-types. Like when I’ve visited Spain. The tour guide advised us to be wary and cautious of our personal belongings especially wallets. If you think our country is the nest of pickpockets, you will have to think twice :-)

Moreover, some Spanish thinks that Filipinos are stupid. The movie depicted some scenes about this.

Excessive kissing in public places…Oh, man. They are a big fan of it.

Moving on, It was a movie of much laughing from different comical characters in the movie. The best among the rest is this dark-skinned kid namely “BRONSON” hahahahaha… even if he does not have much dialogue in the movie.

The melodramatic part I guess is between Judy Ann and Gina Pareno, the sort of drama best describe in these words “mahirap magpalaki ng magulang” a brief background about this. Judy Ann is scolding her mother for deciding to marry a newfound love named Douglas. Very old and from the USA. Gina Pareno’s reason is that she feels empty and wants to make snowman in the USA. It may seem funny. However, this part will surely tug your heart a little bit.

If you’re married and having conflicts with your partner’s Mom. If you’’re just a new mom and facing child rearing dilemmas. This movie is for you. Nonetheless, it’s still worth watching this movie. But I guess there’s a lot more better entries in Manila Filmfest to watch.
